Breath of Life is a teaching ministry. We minister to each individual because we believe God gives abundant life through Holy living, regardless of race, creed, color of skin or nationality. We work with other churches and ministries to fulfill this goal and The Great Commission that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has given through the Body of Christ.

We are located on 14 lovely and God-given acres at 3795 Frayser-Raleigh Road in Memphis, Tennessee. Our center includes an International Ministry Center; Family Life Center, and Breath of Life Christian Academy, an accredited school for students K-4 through 4.

From humble beginnings in 1982, God has seen fit for us to become one of the fastest growing churches in America. We currently have more than 1500 members and are most eager to welcome you and your family into our fellowship.

"In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, holiness upon the Lord; and the pots in the Lord's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts."

On January 26, 1981, God said to Dr. Holloway, "I want you to bring back the Bell." In studying this in the Scriptures, our Pastor came to know that God wanted him and his ministry to teach true Bible Holiness by precept and example. In the New Testament, we are told that Holiness means "conduct befitting those who are separated to God."

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons; God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal return to this earth to receive to Himself, His blood-bought church, that it may be with Him forever.
  4. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  5. We believe that the rebirth of the human spirit by the Word and Holy Spirit of God is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  6. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
  7. We believe that each believer is entitled to and will receive the baptism with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 and/or Acts 10:44-46 and/or Acts 19:6 upon his asking for it.
  8. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a Holy life.
  9. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and lost--the first to everlasting life and the other to everlasting destruction.

Breath of Life Evangelistic Association was incorporated on July 1, 1981 in Tennessee for these chartered purposes:

  • To establish a world outreaching trans-denominational Christian Church which recognizes the Holy Bible, properly interpreted, as the Word of God;
  • To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth;
  • To license and/or ordain male and female Christians who are called by God to the Gospel; * To engage in any lawful enterprise which will alleviate the burden of the world's poor;
  • To provide a local fellowship of believers in which God-given ministries can operate, namely: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers as recorded in Ephesians;
  • To use and operate all communication facilities, including radio, television, and the printed page to effectuate the church's goals.
  • To build and operate schools, hospitals, parsonages and/or any other legal institutions necessary.

With the support of several faith partners, the Breath of Life Christian Center opened July 11, 1982, at the 4-C's Community Center on Chelsea Avenue. Later that year, the Lord blessed us with a small building at Peres and Hollywood in North Memphis. During our stay here, we grew numerically and spiritually. After years of praying, studying the Word, believing the Word, confessing the Word, and acting on the truth of the Word, the Lord made room for us at, 3606 Hawkins Mill Road. In 2004 we moved our headquarters to 3795 Frayser-Raleigh Road the beautiful Breath of Life International Ministry Center while the Hawkins Mill property became the Training & Education Campus. The year 2007 marks our 25th Anniversary as a church and we are eternally greatful for the things the Lord has done and is doing at BOLCC.
